We are Families Utd
Families Utd aims to be a conduit to many different support and advice mechanisms, all designed to put forward and support the whole issue of Youth Violence in this country from the perspective of people who have had to deal with it first hand – the victims’ families.

This places us in a unique position having experienced the Criminal Justice System at first hand, as well as the intense trauma surrounding the pointless death of a loved one. We want to use our experiences, opinions and drive to make a difference – to help support others that will inevitably go through this and to affect public opinion and government policy.
This site will provide a continual focal point for our thoughts, opinions and activities – and we urge you to bookmark this site, spread the word and get involved.
Why The Name?
We feel that our name says some many different things – the obvious statement is that the families affected by Youth Violence stand together united as one to make a change. It also has connections with football – the idea that we can come together and have similar structures – supporter club (you), the lost talent (the victims), the back-room staff (victim families & government) etc.
Its the idea of a movement with the passion of supporting your club, something that stays with you for life, something that if you work at can provide all the opportunity anyone needs – but it takes a commitment from you, a drive to succeed from us, and a will from everyone that we pull in the same direction – Families Utd.
What Does E Tenebris Lux mean?
From the darkness (comes) light.
We believe that in our darkest times we need to look for the light and use our knowledge and experience to help each other towards the light and to ensure the light from our lost ones is never dimmed.
